Smart home air purification
A smart home air purifier that uses both natural and artificial methods of purification. Motion is able to detect and purify particle matter in the air up to 1 µm manually or autonomously thorough out the day. Using the app or smart home device such as google home, you are able to control, view air quality status, plant health status, recommended actions and reminders at home or at work to provide you full control over indoor air quality.
Problem/ insight
Indoor air pollution is a major concern to public health, since a large percentage of the population spend most of their time confined in a building whether it be at home, school or work are prone to be affected by indoor air pollutants. (IAQ) indoor air quality refers to the environmental quality within and around a building that may affect human health, comfort and performance. Which a person may experience shortly after or even years after been exposed by indoor air pollutants.
Such pollutants include biological contaminants, carbon monoxide, Tobacco products, excess moisture, Radon, pesticides and outdoor air pollution. Depending on the exposure to these pollutants can have devastating effects such as respiratory diseases, heart disease and cancer which can be fatal or debilitating
Design
Taking inspiration from both modern and contemporary design themes used currently in the market. Motion air purifier is heavily inspired by home furniture and consumer electronics, from such designs seen on Emmes chairs, modern speakers from B&O, apple and much more. this allows the product to blend seamlessly within today modern household.
Modularity
Motion gives you the freedom a customise the unit to best suit your home decor. Allowing the user to chose the type of material, textures and type of indoor plant, that best suit its environment. Making the product feel a part of the home decoration whilst improving indoor air quality.
